Some words on this issue: SWOONERS: “Portrait of D'Swooners” (Philips – FS-8027) Rare FIRST ORIGINAL PRESS!! Really fantastic copy of an album that for some reason only appears to be offered for sale in a totally trashed condition. This copy is a real clean one, a true rare find for a very rare disc such as this one. Rarest album by this Philippine sensation that swept through the underbelly of Tokyo in 1968. Of all the GS bands, the Swooners were possibly – according to some trustworthy sources – the best live act to catch in those days. The tracks are all beefed up with greasy guitar licks and cheap swirling organ lines, making this sucker a classic in the genre. Truly great album and copies in good condition are just impossible to find. This one comes in nice shape, is the first original 1968 pressing and is just fantastic. FIRST PRESS of 1968!!! TOP COPY!!!!!

Our grading scale: Mint/ Near Mint/ Excellent/ VG++/. We don’t sell anything below VG++. VG++ grade is basically that the record has some scuffs and has wear. Excellent: record has hardly no visible defects and is preserved with care and attention, the condition most collectors take pride in to file away. Near Mint: a dash below mint, just perfect. Mint: like new.
