DUANE EDDY & Rebels Debut LP: Have 'Twangy' Guitar Will Travel: : JLP-3000 MONO
Offered is one of the great classics in rock from the 1950's, Have 'Twangy' Guitar Will Travel: Duane Eddy, His 'Twangy" Guitar and The Rebels, on Jamie Label JLP-3000, in Mono format.
THE VINYL: EX : for hairline scratches, visible under a bright light. There are no deep marks. Deep groove. The disc retains its original gloss. No scuffs.
THE COVER: NM : Well stored & cared for. Bright front cover colour; seams intact; no edge, corner or ring wear. Original price written in pencil in top left corner on the back cover. I have replaced the generic paper inner sleeve with a plastic-coated one to better protect the disc.
Our friends at Wikipedia report this bit of information about the early days of Duane Eddy recordings:
"Eddy devised a technique of playing lead on his guitar's bass strings to produce a low, reverberant "twangy" sound. In November 1957, Eddy recorded an instrumental, "Movin' n' Groovin'", co-written by Eddy and (Lee) Hazlewood. As the Phoenix studio had no echo chamber, Hazlewood bought a 2,000 gallon water storage tank which he used as an echo chamber to accentuate the "twangy" guitar sound."

RECORD GRADING DESCRIPTION:
THIS RECORD IS SIGHT-GRADED ONLY UNDER A BRIGHT LIGHT, ACCORDING TO THESE DEFINITIONS:
SEALED: RECORD IS WRAPPED IN PLASTIC & UNOPENED.
NM-: RECORD HAS LITTLE OR NO INDICATION THAT IT HAS BEEN PLAYED.
EX: MINIMAL SIGNS OF USE (LIGHT SCRATCHING/PAPER SCUFFS), BUT IN ALL A RECORD THAT HAS BEEN WELL-CARED FOR.
VG+: LESS CARE THAN EX, LIGHT SCRATCHING OR SCUFFING IS MORE EXTENSIVE. STILL VERY PLAYABLE & WILL LIKELY PROVIDE A QUALITY SOUND.
VG & BELOW: WHILE PLAYABLE, THIS RECORD HAS BEEN AROUND THE BLOCK. OBVIOUS SIGNS OF WEAR & SHOULD BE CONSIDERED TO BE IN A LOW GRADE. A RECORD GRADED BELOW VG MAY HAVE A VALUE BASED UPON ITS RARITY OR UNIQUENESS.
WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU CLEAN THIS RECORDING BEFORE PLAYING. RECORDS THAT ARE DECADES OLD CAN ATTRACT & ACCUMULATE DAMAGING FOREIGN MATERIAL THAT REDUCES SOUND QUALITY. THIS IS NORMALLY EASILY CORRECTED WITH A GOOD CLEANING.
