Description
DUKE ELLINGTON featured on FEEC 50th Anniversary Conference souvenir record from 1966 -
put out by World Book Encyclopedia / Field Enterprises Educational Corporation.
The Gold Vinyl LP features an introduction by Jack Benny and somebody from FEEC followed by 3 songs performed by Duke Ellington combo with spoken introductions by Duke Ellington. I believe these performances were exclusive to this record but I don't know that for certain. The bulk of the one-sided record is the Ellington performances and they sound great.
The Cover is VG+ - almost near mint. There is a very slight bit of wear visible in the white. A manufacturing defect is visible on the back at upper left corner where it looks like the material was a little shorter than normal at the corner. The gold colored vinyl record is in VG+ condition. It plays well with an occasional click and minor surface noise at quiet parts. The B-side is blank - that's to say that there is a groove, but nothing is recorded. The comments and musical program ore all on the label side.

SHIPPING DISCOUNTS: The shipping rate per music item generally will go down significantly when you purchase multiple music items from us that can be shipped safely in the same package. So be sure to take a look at all of the records and CDs we have to offer and you might just find something else that you need. If you buy more than one item we'll send an invoice showing the shipping cost for combining multiple purchases into one shipment. When USA Media Mail rate is used, shipping costs go up very slowly for additional items. International buyers will see savings too on combined shipping. Keep in mind that there are weight limits on first class mail, so if you buy several items that would individually ship first class, the shipping method may have to be changed to Media Mail for USA or Priority for international if weight limits are exceeded. We promise to give a fair rate on combined shipping so you can buy without worry. Of course it is ok to ask about combined shipping costs up front too. (Only records, CD, books, magazines, video tapes and other media can be shipped with the media mail rate. That means that adding something like a coffee cup or a figurine to an LP order might not result in a good combined shipping rate.)
