Description

This sale is for a factory sealed copy of "Ellington At Newport ''56" by Duke Ellington. This is from 1956 (1st pressing) on Columbia CL-934 in mono with the 6-eye logo on the label. This was 'Recorded in performance at the American Jazz Festival at Newport, RI on July 7, 1956". The songs are "Newport Jazz Festival Suite", "Diminuendo & Crescendo In Blue" & "Jeep's Blues". This is in unplayed condition & still sealed in a clear plastic bag with which was a common way of sealing LPs in the 1950's/early 1960's.

Super nice!

Please make sure to check out the photos below because they tell the story here!

Condition

Cover : The cover is in VG to VG+ condition with some light general wear (no splits) & tiny initials on the front cover in blue ink but otherwise this is very presentable. Make sure to check out the photos below. The spot showing on the lower front is from the flash of my camera. This is NOT on the cover. Flash only.

Vinyl : Looks to be NM & it is unplayed since this is still factory sealed.

Labels : Look to be NM on both sides.
