MEGA RARE SANDPAPER SLEEVE 1st PRESSING

FACTORY RECORDS / CAT No. - FACT 14 / 1979

This is one of the rarest DURUTTI COLUMN / FACTORY RECORDS items you'll ever find . The legendary first album in its original SANDPAPER SLEEVE . Fantastic music by VINI REILLY and produced by the equally legendary MARTIN HANNET . If that's not enough , the sleeves were constructed by the members of JOY DIVISION and , indeed , IAN CURTIS seemed to do the bulk of them while the other members of the band sneaked off to another room to watch porno videos (I've heard this version a few times , most notably from TONY WILSON in a MOJO magazine interview) .

Anyway , it's one of the top DURUTTI COLUMN collectables and it's been kept in pristine condition from 1979 . The cover is pretty much in the same condition as the day I bought it (sandpaper ages well) and the vinyl is also in excellent condition . Classic FACTORY labels too . The tracks are -
