FACT 244 - 'Vini Reilly'
original first pressing LP with bonus 1-sided 7" single
by Vincent Gerard & Stephen Patrick (Morrissey)
'I Know Very Well How I Got My Note Wrong' (FACT 244+)
Label: Factory Records Cat. no. FACT 244 / FACT 244+ Year: 1989
Important, please read! This is a very difficult record to grade as it looks in near mint condition
and I have only ever played it 3 or 4 times as I bought the CD at the same time.
However the record does suffer from occasional crackles and clicks which are more
noticeable in the quieter passages of the music. The last track 'My Country' appears to stick
towards the end and I have always presumed it was a fault especially as Factory did issue some bad pressings.
I have recently read though on various fan websites and forums that this apparently was intentional.
I'm not really sure about that but anything was possible I suppose with Factory!
I'll leave that up to you though - it's still a very enjoyable listen and by comparison makes the CD version sound very flat and dull.
The LP sleeve is in Excellent + condition with the smallest amount of creasing.
There is a small surface indentation on the back of the sleeve just above the 'R' and 'U' in 'DURUTTI'
otherwise I would have graded as Near Mint.
The spine is in very nice condition - the labels do have a small amount of scuffing (please see photos).
The 7" single is Near Mint and plays fine. Its sleeve and labels are also Near Mint.
