Description
You are bidding on an extremely rare prototype of Dale Crover's THUNDER PINKY 7" cymbal single. A hybrid single/cymbal record art project, these were the test prototypes used to perfect the final product. 6.9" Cymbal record lathe-cut, solid brass record-cymbal hybrid. Joyful Noise released 20 prototypes to their VIP subscribers in Nov. of 2019, this is one of those 20. From their email:
"If you missed out on the real thing last year you now have a chance to at least get a prototype of it for half the price. Now, full disclosure, some of these are dang near perfect minus being polished or screen printed with no signed jacket, but some of these are either quiet, noisey, skip a bit on one or both sides, or all of the above. These are not perfect working copies and while the will not harm your turntable in the slightest (seriously, you can play these without any mods or worries) they may not sound the greatest. But, they are limited and once they are gone so will your chance to get a copy."
I ordered this directly from Joyful Noise and it is in exactly the same condition as when I received it. It has never been played and outside of some fingerprints on the metal surface is unadulterated. A fascinating and unique item for sure.
