Description


Hollywood's MSR label existed long ago to put YOUR poems and rants to music. The twisted genius of Rod Rogers (aka Rod Keith) spun psychedelic gold from such mental dross. Lovingly presented to an unprepared world by NRBQ drummer Tom Ardolino's Carnage Press label circa 1999. Here's an excerpt from the liner notes in Tom's own words:
Wild music; crazy lyrics. Beautiful music; perfect lyrics. You get all this and more with these kinds of records. Strange sounding cheap early electronic keyboards like the Mellotron; out of control drum machines. Normal-sounding budget session musicians; drunk -- or something -- sounding session musicians. And singers who usually sound like they never saw the words to the song until the recording light was on.
