Description

Rare original soundtrack 10-inch LP to 'Hans Christian Andersen on the British Brunswick label from 1954. The 1952 classic children's film musical starred Danny Kaye and Jane Wyman. It was nominated for six Academy Awards.
Accompanied by Gordon Jenkins And His Chorus And Orchestra. Words and Music by Frank Loesser.

Condition (refer also to notes at bottom): Vinyl: G. Some light hairline scuffs on both sides and a few other light marks but no deep scratches on visual inspection. Played just pre-listing and sound clarity is good and vocals are bright. Some light crackling/static throughout but runs through ok.
Outer Sleeve (cover): VG-EX. Superb laminated front. Colours remain unfaded and bright. Disc outline visible. Some slight signs of delamination in the odd crease on spine and top edge. Corners have mild wear but edges and spine clean and undamaged. Just a few scuffs and nicks to front but clean overall. Aperture slightly dogeared and one tiny tear. Reverse yellowed but flipbacks are intact and no wear visible beyond light peeling in corner of top flipback. Overall very good.
Inner Sleeve: EX. White poly-lined paper with square corners and centre hole. Printed purple text on one side detailing handling. Clean and intact.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
