This expanded edition includes the six tracks originally released on Dark Mark Does Christmas 2012, together with four additional songs.

Originally recorded to be sold as merchandise at two acoustic Christmas shows in 2012, the collection became one of Mark Lanegan’s most enduring bootlegs. The expanded edition was later given an official Rough Trade vinyl release.

Lanegan transforms the material into something unmistakably his own: sparse, atmospheric, haunting and deeply melancholic rather than traditionally festive.

Highlights include:

• Burn the Flames, originally recorded by Roky Erickson, reworked into an even darker and more sinister performance

• Christmas Eve Can Kill You, originally by The Everly Brothers, presented as a stripped-back and haunting interpretation
