Up for bids is a copy of the incredibly great under the radar sole 45 from Houston, Texas' Dark Star "Spectre" b/w "Sounds Of The Sun" from 1977. Forget the Sex Pistols-THIS is the first Texas punk rock by far! Both sides are total loner, blown out misanthropic mayhem, and the topside is featured on Numero Group's "Warfaring Strangers" compilation. This one's got serious appeal to the stoner psych crowd too obviously, but honestly I feel this should've been on a Killed By Death comp in place of say the John Berenzy Group or something years ago. This one was never issued in a sleeve, but the vinyl grades as VG+ with some light marks and a hint of storage warp that do not affect playback-this one has high gloss aesthetically and play grades well and loudly! The labels are clean, and any marks apparent on the label are from misprints from the text stamping itself.
