Dark side of the moon. A/B solid blue prism 1st press. Rare UK export copy

For sale here is a nice copy of Pink Floyds iconic "Dark side of the moon" album. Comes with all the attributes of an original first UK pressing. This has come from my nephew who lives in Denmark and I believe this to be the rarest UK pressed export issue with solid blue triangle labels, but with the matrices A and B, not A2 and B2. There is much confusion of the history behind the A/B pressings. Most popular theory is that they were pressed in the UK for export to Scandinavian countries, which would fit with this one coming from Denmark. Blue tinted gatefold cover.

The cover is a very nice example. Has the midnight blue tinge as per 1st UK press. Has the hype sticker to the front. Apart from the most minimal shelf wear, the only blemishes are the previous owner "Mike" decided to put his name on the hype sticker and also in the yellow panel on the reverse side. Graded Ex-.
The inner sleeve is undamaged apart from some wrinkling. Poly inner is still fully attached. Has the grey type as per UK first press. Grades VG+.
The posters are a slightly less glossy type, different to later pressings. Both have very light age discolouration and some light wrinkling. Both solid. No tape marks or pin holes. Both grade as Ex-.
The postcard stickers are both in great shape. The darker one has light creasing from getting caught in the hinged cover. Also you will notice the back sides are different. I can shed no light on that. I have no idea if one has been added later or if they just got produced by different printers. Grade as Ex and VG+.
The vinyl itself has been play-graded in full. It has retained much of its high gloss finish, but has the odd random light non-feelable mark. The labels show a little spiders web of spindle trails, so this has been played a few times. To start, there is some light background on the heartbeat intro to side 1 as there usually is on that tricky passage. A little background can be heard in between tracks and the odd "dust pop" here and there on side 1. A couple of clicks and pops on the intro to "Time". On the same track if you listen carefully you can hear a light tick for a few seconds. Side 2 plays in much the same way. Some light but audible background in quiet sections, but never intruding much into the listening pleasure. No skips or sticks on either side. Most of the album grades VG+, but sections (like in "Time" I would grade at VG. I think I have graded accurately and quite stringently, so be assured that you will not receive something that does not fit with the description. Not the best copy out there maybe! but still a great listen and a rare A/B export UK pressing with all the parts.

All vinyl is packed outside of the cover and 2 stiffeners are used in transit. I have sold many valuable vinyls over the years and am often credited with Fort Knox style packing.
