Description

An original 1965 1st STEREO issue of EYES on UK CBS. Matrix 1/1. Textured labels with correct large format "33" speed. Original flipback E J Day cover. Original inner dated to Autumn 1965! So 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In super shape and has only seen very light careful use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of slightest marks per side, one superficial trail  - nothing remotely troublesome. Beautiful lustre. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with just a couple of deviations per side. Very delicate audio you're gonna need a  super clean copy to stand half a chance of revealing this fantastic audio to full effect.  A super clean player - one of the best I've ever witnessed for preservation. This bad-boy is knocking the ball outta the court. Just totally clean signalled from start to finish. The clarinet has amazing purity as does the piano notes. The percussion [difficult to resolve] is superb. All I could detect that was detrimental was a couple of ticks in a couple of spots per side. And one pop late on side 1. Given how clean the feed is from '65 in stereo...I would argue it's very liveable.
Cover (Ex) Lovey condition - particularly given the vintage. How many do you think are looking in this kinda condition after this period of time. The front is shiny like new and the back isn't far behind! Almost no ageing on the rear - which is highly unusual from this period. Flipbacks are near perfect. Hardly any edge wear and sharp firm openings. Spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. No splits.
