Dave Brubeck -Moscow Night sealed and autographed with provenance

Here's a very rare copy of Dave Brubeck's Moscow Night LP, reeleased in 1988 on the Concord Jazz label. This record is quite difficult to find on vinyl; there hasn't been a copy for sale on eBay in ages. Not surprising; by 1988 LP pressings in the United States had dwindled to almost nothing, and most copies of this album were sold on compact disc.

All Music gave it four stars, saying:

In 1987 Brubeck, after decades of trying, finally had an opportunity to perform with his Quartet in the Soviet Union. The enthusiastic crowd (many of whom had grown up on Brubeck's music) clearly inspired the musicians which included clarinetist Bill Smith, electric bassist Chris Brubeck and drummer Randy Jones. Together they perform exciting versions of a variety of the leader's tunes plus Howard Brubeck's "Theme for June," "St. Louis Blues" and of course "Take Five."

I acquired this album in 1990 at a charity auction in Los Angeles.  The record is still sealed, but the wrap has been torn in the lower left hand corner of the back cover.  A sticker has been affixed to the cover with Dave Brubeck's autograph.

This record is accompanied by the receipt I received for it at the time of purchase, indicating that the record was donated to the auction by the Dave Brubeck Quartet.  I've blanked my name and (then) address out in the photo shown, but that information appears on the document, which will be included with the record.

This is one of Dave Brubeck's rarest LPs.  I've never seen another copy of this album on vinyl, and this copy is sealed and comes with Dave Brubeck's autograph.  It's got everything you could possibly want in a Brubeck collectible - sealed, signed, and rare.
