Description

This is a very nice copy of the original Dave Brubeck Quartet ‘Time Out’. It is a rare 1st Pressing (Mono) a Columbia release CL1397 from 1959. 
The heavy weight cardboard sleeve is in very good/plus condition even Excellent given it’s age. The corners are good, bottom left hand has been bumped and the bottom edge shows wear. The spine is good and there is no ringing. There is a very tiny bit of damage to the back (See photo) and the back is discoloured due to age. The inner sleeve is original and printed. There is some discolouration due to age and one tiny tear on the top edge. Otherwise is in great condition, no splits or bends. 
The vinyl is bright and shiny. There are hairline surface scratches on both sides but I’ve played both sides and they play brilliantly. An occasional click but nothing that is worrying. It could do with a clean as it’s been stored since 1990.
The bright red Columbia labels are near mint..no spindle marks at all. Under Columbia is written CBS and CL 1397 and under that NONBREAKABLE
The matrix are stamped on the run out side one XLP47853-1BB and side two XLP47854-1L
