Description:
Offered is a guaranteed original 1959 mono first pressing of Dave Brubeck’s Time Out. This is a true "early state" copy featuring the iconic 6-Eye label and the high-fidelity original mono mix.
Collector Details:
• Matrix / Dead Wax: Features matching 1BJ / 1BJ suffixes (XLP 47853–1BJ and XLP 47854–1BJ) indicating it was sourced from the first-generation master tapes.
• Label: Original red and black Columbia "6-Eye" labels without the later "CBS" print.
• Provenance: Pressed at the Columbia Terre Haute plant.
Condition & Play-Test Report:
• Vinyl (G+): This record has been fully play-tested. It plays all the way through on both sides without skipping. Visually, the record shows surface scuffs and light scratches.
• Audio Quality: The audio remains strong and clear, though there is consistent surface noise and crackle audible throughout the playback.
• Jacket (VG-): Original 1959 jacket showing typical shelf wear and some age-related discoloration - a bit of slight damage at upper left spine.
• Labels: Labels are clean with no spindle marks visible.
Shipping:
Professional packaging in a dedicated record mailer. The record will be removed from the jacket during transit to prevent any further seam damage. I've also placed the record in a new acid free paper sleeve. The jacket has been placed in plastic sleeve as well.
