Dave Brubeck Quartet - Time Out- Released 1959 ~ Rare Original Columbia 6 eye Mono CL-1397. 

From my research of this album, it is believed that this is a first press issue.

Interesting Facts:   I did my research on this Album. This is the Original Album cover before the big hit of "Take Five" took off and so they decided to move "Take Five" in a more prominent spot on the cover in later pressings.            "Time Out" is recognized as one of the most rhythmically innovative albums in Jazz history and it quickly went platinum. This album was recorded in 3 sessions, June 25th, July 1st and August 18th all in 1959. The Album became one of the best known and biggest selling Jazz albums. Also, the song title Kathy's Waltz is misspelled on front & back cover plus on the album itself, it was to be Cathy's Waltz, this is Dave Brubeck daughters name.  

Cover - VG++ condition -  A very small split lower right hand corner, slight bumps and ring wear, shelf wear on bottom spine, #2 is written in pencil on the back upper right corner. This cover is in very good shape and strong. 

Vinyl - VG++ condition - Checked under bright light and seen light scuffs and some scratches, but you can not feel them to the touch. I test played this album after I cleaned it and sounds great, a little crackling heard every so often, no skipping, no interruptions, no ticking or popping, just great music.
