Description

This is the original deep groove pressing of Dave Brubeck “Plays and Plays…” on the red and gold labels of Fantasy 3259.  The flat rim red vinyl playing surface is in near new condition, with a high luster; perhaps played once.  The laminated cover is also in near new condition – clean and bright throughout – with sharp corners and unworn seams; light discoloration at the top of the back slick.  The cover is inscribed “To Father O’Connor, Merry Christmas.  Dave Brubeck”.  (Father O’Connor, known as the “Jazz Priest” had his own jazz-oriented radio and TV shows and wrote extensively about jazz.  See his Wikipedia entry).  This is a solo piano session. $100.00.
