Description

Offered for sale is a rare one-sided U.S. promotional LP of radio spots for the 1965 film Having a Wild Weekend, which starred the Dave Clark 5.  The film was titled Catch Us If You Can outside of the U.S.

This LP features eight short commercials for the film that were intended to be played on the radio.
About this copy: This copy of Having a Wild Weekend Radio Spot Announcements is an original 1965 U.S. release on the BGC (B.G. Charles Inc.) label.
There is no catalog number, but WB-3248 is etched in the dead wax.

This disc is a bit hard to grade, as it has only a few minutes of playing time and a lot of the disc is plain vinyl without grooves.  The portion of the disc that plays is quite clean, but the dead wax area has a number of scuffs.  It appears to have had little play, but has been stored indifferently over the years.

On the whole, the playing side is VG+.

There are eight tracks on side one, ranging in duration from ten to sixty seconds.  The disc features "locked grooves," so the tracks will not play continuously.  You must manually cue up the track you want to play.

Side two of this disc was pressed using a random stamper and then was intentionally heavily scuffed to render the side unplayable.  This appears to have been done at the pressing plant.

This LP was issued without a cover.  We will provide a new generic white cover.

Most radio spots LPs for any film are in terrible condition, as they were issued without covers, had a limited intended lifespan, and were treated poorly by radio staff.

This copy is quite clean, plays very well, and is the only copy we've ever seen.

A terrific copy of a very rare Dave Clark 5 LP.
