Description

This is an auction for a very RARE autograph of MIKE SMITH from the British Invasion group The Dave Clark Five!
This is a blank white generic cardboard record sleeve for a 7" 45rpm.  The story behind this signature is:   I originally had a DC5 acetate for one of their recordings.  I used to write a collectible column for their fan club in the 1990s called the "DC5 Line".  I was privy to Mike Smith's address back then and I was able to send him some of my records and he would autograph them. 
I sent him the acetate, asking him to sign it!!  I put it in this sleeve and sent it.....but much to my surprise he SIGNED THE SLEEVE....NOT THE ACETATE!!!!  LOL!

Anyway......he sign it to me "To Tom....Best Wishes...Mike"

Please note the the acetate is ALREADY SOLD!!!!!!  Sorry!!

This auction is for the signed sleeve ONLY!!  The condition of the sleeve is very good with a sticker removal stain at the top right. 
If you have a rare DC5 record that you want to display this is a GREAT signed sleeve to display it in!!!
