Rare first release of Dave Matthews Band - Under the Table and Dreaming

This numbered deluxe LP (No. 11383) was part of the initial recall of the first release of the album, making it quite rare.  in follow-up to the purchase, a replacement issue of side C and D was distributed in order to rectify this issue.

For this listing, as can be seen in the photos, you will be receiving the rare recall LP of the album as well as the replacement for side C and D.

Additional information regarding the recall can be found online, but I have included an excerpt below for clarity... hope you enjoy this rare DMB collectible LP!

This was originally slated for a November 2014 release but was eventually recalled after an unknown amount of records shipped (from self-reporting, it seems only Dave Matthews Band Warehouse Fan Club members received this; and only a fraction of those that ordered).

The reason for the recall was due to a wrong studio edit of the song "Jimi Thing" being used. The sax solo performed by LeRoi Moore was absent from the first pressing.

Fans were also a bit irritated that the original source analogue master tapes were used in the remastering, but the vinyl was cut from digital files. Ted Jensen, who is well known for being an unfortunately accomplice to the "Loudness Wars" was behind this and many fans completely wrote this release off without hearing the finished product.

Finally, my review: I have both the original with the Jimi Thing alternate mix as well as the reissued-reissue. Yes, there is some DR that has been lost and it is certainly louder. However, the sound is still pretty darn good considering that the original 1994 release was no polished diamond. If you are a fan, I would recommend picking this up. If you are a casual listener, this one is a toss up.
