Description

Up For Consideration: David Bowie 1977  "Low" USA Vinyl Album RCA Victor CLP1-2030 W/ Inner Sleeve VG+ Welcome! I purchased this album when it was released in 1977. When CD players  came out I purchased the CD and I hadn't  listened to the record since then.  Today I cleaned it and I listened to it through headphones so I could get a good  idea of its condition. The record sounds excellent. I would rate it VG+.  The Cover has a few blemishes. See Pictures 7-8 and 9 The inner sleeve is in very good condition.
The album comes a from non smoking household.

BACKGROUND:
There is no way to remove this album from the era from which it came, and no way to accept that this  album came from that era. 1977 was not a year of bold, experimental sounds from coked-out rock stars.  Bowie, being Bowie, chose to ignore that and put together about as flawless a record as he was capable.  Even now, 2016 as of this posting, this thing has peaks and valleys and wanders into a soundscape that  sounds like it was recorded yesterday, or maybe as if it fell onto us from a future too shocked to accept it. One side of short, poppy tracks and another of longer, moody pieces, it was later reimagined by Philip Glass  and still sounds like nothing else. From the cover, taken from The Man Who Fell To Earth, orange hair and  orange sky, the back a blank orange square to its simple minimalistic sounds, it remains an essential piece of a Bowie collection.
