Description
Original 1973 UK1st Press copy of David Bowie - Aladdin Sane which includes The Jean Genie, Drive In Saturday, and the wonderfully strange Lady Grinning Soul - worth the ticket price alone!
Released on the orange RCA Victor label RS 1001, the matrix endings are 3T/3T indicating a UK 1st press.
The record has been ultrasonically cleaned in our amazing Degritter and the vinyl has come up sparkling clean and very shiny with a couple of small scuffs and faint hairlines that do not trouble playback. Clean labels and spindle holes - graded EX.
Playback is jawdroppingly good. Detailed, dense sweeping & swirling sound which absolutely fills the room even at modest volume. Totally immersive and mesmerising from start to finish. Jean Genie races out of the speakers like an attack dog coming for you..... It plays through beautifully with power and presence. No issue, no jumping or sticking - the vinyl behaves as it should. Occasional low crackle/noise in a few places but definitely no spoiler.
The gatefold sleeve is still solid and strong with age related wear to corners and edges. Some small light staining patches to the interior and rear plus a number written in ink. No splits, tears or tape.
The original printed inner lyric sleeve is present & in excellent condition - still doing a great job!
A great copy to own, play and enjoy, fully cleaned & tested, ready to pop straight onto your turntable & blast out!
We have taken lots of photos in good natural daylight so you can see exactly what you are buying. Please take a moment to look at the photos as they form part of the description.
