Description

A 1st press of SANE on RCA from 1973. The labels still exhibit 'Stereo' at 12 o'clock and the matrix is 3T/3T - all consistent with 1st issue. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in a thick-card gatefold cover. We also have the lyric inner too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete. 
Vinyl (Ex-/Vg+) In nice condition despite having seen moderate use. If you're the sort of buyer who is fussy about the look of the vinyl I would probably give this one a miss. There are a good few marks each side, a couple of semi-feelable marks, a couple of light trails. BUT it plays better than it looks - if you're prepared to overlook 'the looks' it can still play well. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveal a mostly NEAREXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of deviations per side. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Expect a bit of background static in the quieter moments of TIME, and a couple clicks and ticks. A few ticks and a couple of clicks toward the end of Aladdin Sane. And in Lady Grinning Soul - a bit of light background here and there. But elsewhere it plays very nice with little to complain at.
Cover (Ex-) Most examples will usually exhibit a lot of ageing and foxing by this point in time. But this cover is still pretty white - just very lightest evidence of ageing. There's little sign of edge wear. Even onto the spine - it's 100% intact and fully square. The openings are still sharp and the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner(Ex) Very nice. No issues.
 (Ex-)  Lightest of ageing. No splits.
