Description
This is a rare acetate of David Bowie's 1966 single "Can't Help thinkin' About me"/"And I Say to Myself", recorded with his band The Lower Third.
The officially released single reference no. is: PYE 7N17020 - but note that this is the acetate version of the single.
Unfortunately the record's condition has deteriorated over the years with some areas of lacquer having come away from the aluminium and an area towards the edge of the disc having become mis-shapen (please refer to the pictures in the listing). Consequently, neither side of the disc plays all the way through - roughly two-thirds of each song is still playable. However, this being a collector's piece I would advise against playing it regularly.
Despite it's condition this record would nonetheless greatly enhance any serious collection of Bowie's early material.
