Detail Item Info : This is the original UK issue of David Bowie’s second album on the black Philips label - later known as “Space Oddity”! And, YES, it contains “Don’t Sit Down”, the legendary 0’ 39’’ short piece of words and music attached to the end of “Unwashed And Somewhat Slightly Dazed” that is NOT listed on the cover nor the label and until 1990 it was the only official release of this “song”! The vinyl looks great except some thin hairlines BUT there is a little background noise throughout the album meaning that somebody enjoyed it very carefully. The labels are clean and shiny except some hairline and writing - the 1 x 2 cm signatures of a previous owner. As for the NO laminated / matt gatefold cover - with the lyrics printed inside and the works of Vernon Dewhurst / Victor Vasarely and George Underwood on the front and the back respectively – it is one of the best kept after all these years : NO ring wear, the color has faded a little bit on the top and the bottom of the front side, the corners are slightly creased, there is some wear on the spine and, again, that same 2 x 5 cm signature on the inside left corner. [See pictures – I ‘ve tried to take close ups so you can judge the grading yourself ] The first rock incarnation of the chameleon that he still is, this must - have item for every devoted David Bowie fan does not get offered up so often in such a shape! So, do not miss …
