Description

An original 1st press of DD on UK RCA from 1974. Matrix A1/B1. Etching 'Oly'. Please note labels are consistent with 'Stereo' an 12 o'clock. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original cover.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. A super rendition with little to take issue with. Clean throughout and into the quieter moments like the spoken word intro. Nothing worse than a couple of crackles in the intro to 'We Are the Dead'. Highly recommended! The imperfections you see on the side 1 label would have occurred at the point the label was applied [not subsequently].
Cover (Ex-) A lovely clean and flat front and rear. Unusually there's precious little sign of surface wear or creasing. the only thing I can spot is a minor sticker removal mark on the rear [top left]. The interior looks great with nothing worse than a couple of foxing marks. There's a touch of edge wear on the bottom edge - nothing bad. All text on the spine is pretty much fully legible - just a couple of those fold line running down the spine [as would be near impossible to avoid]. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
