Description
David Bowie Diamond Dogs Vinyl LP 1974 A1/B1 1st ever issue no Bewitched credit
This is the original UK release in matt gatefold cover, on semi glossy orange RCA Victor labels with 'Stereo' after the side identification. This release does not yet list 'Bewitched' on side A label, therefore the publishing credit appears at the bottom (see images). 'A-1'/'B-1' master runouts. First catalogue number 'APL1-0576' on cover, 2nd 'APL1 0576' on labels.
About the credit omission: The "Bewitched" credit on David Bowie's 1974 album Diamond Dogs refers to a brief, uncredited guitar rendition of the jazz standard "Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered" (by Rodgers & Hart), which Bowie plays halfway through the opening track, "Future Legend, because the interpolation wasn't originally cleared, the song was omitted from the text on the earliest UK pressing covers."
ABOUT THIS COPY:
The gatefold sleeve has only a very small amount of handling wear, looks great overall - Inside gatefold is clean and spine solid - see photos
Labels are excellent, perfect clean orange
Most marks visible on the vinyl are superficial and hard to see - very clean and in fantastic condition - no discernible loud bg noise!
It plays through from start to finish brilliantly - no loud bg noise, no pops , no jumps - very , very light crackle / static occasionally but hardly there...a brilliant listening experience
PLEASE VIEW ALL THE PHOTOS AND THE CLIP - any questions please message me. ……open to reasonable offers until a bid is made. NO RESERVE.
