David Bowie Earthling LP
BMG-RCA 74321 44944-1 (EU pressing)
This 1997 LP was more successful than it's predecessor "Outside" but still not a huge seller like some of Bowie's earlier LPs. I don't know why as it's still a great LP and with tracks like "Little Wonder" and "I'm afraid of Americans", what's not to like? The track "Telling Lies" was also the first downloadable track by a major artist...not that you can download from this piece of vinyl.....
Vinyl is VG due to instances of cyclical crackling noise at places (mainly noticeable between tracks). It is still a very playable copy ...it just can't be described as pin drop quiet. I have had other copies of this LP and they have also been noisy to some degree. The length of this album (approaching 50 minutes) is possibly a reason for some of the noise issues, as the LP cannot be cut at as high a volume as shorter LP's.
The LP has been cleaned on a professional record cleaning machine and play graded on a Linn LP12 turntable with an Ortofon MC30 cartridge.
The cover is EX- and has no fading or ringwear, with just a seam split at the top, that isn't really too noticeable. A nice condition cover, with a nice shine to it, whihc makes the saturated colours of the artwork really pop. The lyric inner has seam splits on the side and bottom due to this LP not being issued with a paper inner sleeve and there is a small amount of sticky residue on it as well (probably from when the sleeve was glued)
This LP is now extremely hard to find, especially in this condition.

Please check for shipping cost as I am based in New Zealand. The item will be securely packed in an LP mailer with cardboard stiffeners for protection, and I can pack the LP outside of the cover to avoid seam splits.
I do not charge a handling cost - only the cost of getting the LP from New Zealand to you via Airmail (again please note that shipping cost will probably exceed the $4.00 USD shown in the listing , as I am based in New Zealand.)
