Description
Black label RCA, small ring. The disc is in outstanding condition. I'm reluctant to describe any record as "near-mint," so let's call it EX++. Extremely clean!
This pressing, from the Indianapolis plant (as indicated by the capital "I" stamped in the runout on both sides), is the first edition of the album in the US and is also a very early pressing as it was part of the initial run of promotional copies in advance of the album's release.
The matrix #s are:
Matrix / Runout (Side A runout, etched (Variant 1)): AFL-1.2522-A-1 gc. A [STERLING l (stamped)]
- Matrix / Runout (Side B runout, etched (Variant 1)): AFL-1.2522-B-1B gc.[STERLING l (stamped)]
"gc" is the signature of Greg Calbi, the original mastering engineer of the American release. Also indicated are "A1" and "A3 B" in the runout.
The sleeve is in VG+ condition, with slight edge/shelf/ring wear and mildly dinged corners. The upper left corner of the back cover features a gold promo stamp.
The original printed liner w/lyrics is included.
Please see pics for detail.
