Description

An original 1st issue for the UK market on the RCA label. Matrix 2/2 - first cut. Etching 'Sterling'. You will note that the labels aren't orange like the typical UK pressed copies. Two months prior to the release of Heroes, and just as RCA were stockpiling the initial copies for 1st release, Elvis passed away. RCA, then, were forced to divert a lot of production capacity to fulfil the demand for Elvis. Due to production constraints RCA took the decision to contract their Italian plant to produce many of the copies of Heroes at 1st issue. So, there you have it.. a true 1st issue, but pressed by the Italian RCA plant - rather than UK. The vinyl comes housed in an original heavy-card cover printed in England. Also included is an originl plastic bag warning inner fom the time too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen very light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of tiny marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are pretty much silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Just very nice clean unhindered audio all the way through... even on those super quiet ambient sections on side 2. Interference is pretty close on non-existent. All we could detect were a few light crackles in a couple of isolated spots. A beautiful player by any standard.
Cover (Ex) In beautiful condition and has clearly been looked after. Lovely shiny front and rear with only a few stress creases at the edges. Edge wear is relatively light. The spine is mostly intact with all text still legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. 
Insert (Ex) Very nice barely any ageing. No splits.
