Description

David Bowie Hunky Dory LP UK 1st Press **Bobil/Rasputin** SUPER AUDIO!

This is a top copy of Hunky Dory,

Please don't confuse this copy with the many others for sale, it would grace any record collection AND it plays and sound amazing

This is the most desirable version of Hunky Dory after the mega expensive and rare Laminated Cover copy

Matrix 3T/3T. Etchings "Bobil/Rasputin" - this is indicative of very earliest pressing. Yes, it has the early Titanic publishing credit - but it's those etchings that identify the very earliest copies. The earliest copies have lovely shiny labels and are pressed really heavy [so, more than one reason to go for them].

Early heavy deep grooved vinyl only available on the very first pressing

2 major benefits, they sound the best and also they last the longest!

I test play all my vinyl on my Project Essential deck and it plays and sounds fantastic, NO sticks or jumps as that is the main thing I listen for

There is the odd click and some slight surface noise in the quiter parts

But the SOUND from the vinyl is in a different class, much is made about the first 3T pressings about the difference in sound quality and even cynical old me agrees with that view.. Different class audio playback

The Vinyl is lovely and clean with a great gloss,  under strong light it has a few light feathers from sleeve removal etc but nothing feelable

ONLY a couple of noticeable marks which DO NOT affect the playback

Amazing condition for 50 years old!

The original inner lyric sheet is in outstanding condition. Very clean as well, it's a CRACKER.

Also comes with the ORIGINAL paper inner sleeve..

The album cover is also in excellent condition

Hunky Dory covers do not age well, they are 50 years old after all but this cover is strong rigid and sturdy with perfect seams!

This cover is MILES better than the majority of others for sale

The Spine is VERY good and EASILY readable

The rear of the cover is also in great condition and is very clean, most importantly it's still nice and white and hasn't got discoloured and dirty like most others.

There is a small bump at the bottom left hand side

Please study the pics to make your own mind up

This copy has been really well cared for.

Look at the others available for far far more.. Are they better than mine?.. I very much doubt it..

Sorry for the long winded description but I feel it's important to get as much detail as possible for anyone interested.

I wouldn't buy an album with a 3 line description. Maybe works for some folk. But not me.
