Description

David Bowie Hunky Dory LP UK 1st Press **Bobil/Rasputin**

Matrix 3T/3T. Etchings "Bobil/Rasputin" - this is indicative of very earliest pressing. Yes, it has the early Titanic publishing credit - but it's those etchings that identify the very earliest copies. The earliest copies have lovely shiny labels and are pressed really heavy [so, more than one reason to go for them].

Genuine 1971 first UK Pressing the One to have

The best and rarest copy of Hunky Dory apart from the Laminated Cover version

That also means that it's usually the most expensive Hunky Dory to buy.. But not this one..

I test play all my vinyl on my Project Essential deck and it plays and sounds magic, but there are a few issues on side 2, quite a bit of pops and crackles especially on the opening track.

Side 1 is miles better and sounds again.. Fantastic as only the early heavy 3T pressings do, way better than the later pressings

Nice and clean with the usual LIGHT feathered sleeve removal marks and one longer mark on side 2..

It still sounds fantastic. Queen Bitch for example is just.. Wow!!!

The album cover is also in excellent condition

Hunky Dory covers do not age well, they are 50 years old after all but this cover is still pretty strong rigid and sturdy with perfect seams!

The cover has a few small creases but it's MILES better than the majority of others for sale

The Spine is very good and EASILY readable

The rear of the cover is also in great condition and  most importantly it's still nice and white and hasn't got discoloured and dirty like most others.

Sorry for the long winded description but I feel it's important to get as much detail as possible for anyone interested.

I wouldn't buy an album with a 3 line description. Maybe works for some folk. But not me.

Thanks for looking
