David Bowie Hunky Dory LP UK Early Press *Rasputin* 2E/3T EX/EX.
Great sounding, early pressing version in un-laminated sleeve. No mainman on labels or sleeve. Orange RCA labels. Matrix numbers/etc are:
Side 1: APRS 5947-2E (Stamped) A1W (hand etched)
Side 2: APRS 5948 3T (Stamped) A5N Rasputin (Hand Etched)
The first pressing featured a front laminated sleeve, but sold very few copies. Later in the year interest grew hugely and this record was pressed in much greater numbers. These early copies are widely considered the best sounding pressings.
The vinyl is in EX condition. It does have some light paper scuffs and marks when viewed under strong light, but certainly nothing that can be felt. The record is fully play graded and plays very well indeed. There is sone very light crackle evident on the run ins, and a few (a few only) spaces between tracks but this cannot be heard over the music and it really is very enjoyable still. Nice playing copy! The sleeve has some very faint ring wear/edge wear evident but is otherwise in great condition EX-
Original 1 sheet lyric inner is VG+ with a few circular “foxing” patches. Decent enough condition throughout.
Overall this is a great sounding and looking early pressing of probably one of David Bowies best loved LPs
