Description
A rare PYE LTD pressing of David Bowie's Hunky Dory vinyl album. Odd in that it uses a cropped version of the rear sleeve as the front and rear artwork.
Manufactured by Pye Ltd., Auckland, NZ.
This first issue used a retouched and cropped version of the back cover design on both sides of the sleeve (including credit for George Underwood for the absent front cover artwork). Single, matt sleeve with pinched spine and lyric insert.
Side 2, track 3 credited to 'David Bowi' on the label.
The original owner wrote his name on the front and back, on both labels and inside. Sleeve showing signs of age. Record in good condition.
Cant be many of these in the UK?
I have owned it since living in NZ in the early 80's, its been in storage for the last 25 years until now.
