Description
I am not a record dealer nor a collector so I will describe this album as accurately as possible.
From my research it appears to be one of the more sort after versions of David Bowie Hunky Dory, it is a 1971 orange label, the most obvious difference between this label and other orange labels is that on Side 2 'Mainman' is written next to most of the song titles.

I have noticed something quite unusual on the Sleeve, on the bottom right of the back cover 'Printed in England by Robert Stace' is clearly printed in black however on very close inspection on the right side there is some inconspicuous white print behind the obvious white print. I've tried to show this by photographing it through a loop, this print looks like a mistake that has been covered up and part of is says New York, NY Printed in USA.
Etched into the centre ring of side 1 is: A25 APRS 5947 - 4E
And in side 2:
A69 (or maybe G) APRS 5948 - 3E
The sleeve appears to be in fairly good condition with some wear particularly around the edges. There is a mark that can only be seen at certain angles of light, it might wipe off but I won't try through fear of damaging it further.
On visual inspection the vinyl looks like a well played record with light scuffs and a couple possible water drop marks. I've played the album and to someone who hasn't listened to vinyl for a long time it sounds fantastic! There is some definite crackling throughout especially on the first couple of tracks on side 1 and the last track on side 2, it also gets stuck on one point on the very last track, I can't see what is causing this, is it fixable? I'm not sure.
Please look carefully at the photos and if you have any specific questions don't hesitate to ask.
