Description
You are bidding on David Bowie narrating Prokiev's Peter and the Wolf with Eugene Ormandy conducting the Philadelphia Orchestra. This album is limited and pressed on translucent green vinyl. The cover has ringwear and the top of the cover has some edgewear but not seam splitting. It shows its age, but doesn't have man-made blemishes (writing, pen marks, etc). The insert of the children's guide is in great shape with no creases or blemishes. The inner sleeve is also present, but the album is residing in a plastic antistatic sleeve that I provided. The album looks great, and I playtested a few tracks. Obviously, when Bowie is narrating, it is quiet, so the pops and crackles do come through, but they aren't continuous but more intermittent. Once the piece begins, a small portion is still audible, but not detracting from the music. I listened to 20 seconds of side 2, and the music is booming from the beginning, so the noise is less noticeable. Still, to be fair, I'll grade it as VG, but I'm probably being conservative. A good cleaning could alleviate much of this noise. Scratches are not visible on the vinyl. There is also a slight tear on Side B of the label. See pics for details.
