Description
Bought from new soon after release and played frequently and carefully on a Goldring Lenco deck. Photo is of actual cover, contains original plain inner sleeve, no major defects in either.
Part of my collection that has been stored in cool conditions throughout, and will need a good clean before you play it. Record will be dispatched in a Vinyl LP Record Box Mailer, corrugated and strong, to prevent damage.

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.
First released in mid 1972 on RCA, throughout the RCA years there were two separate variants available (i.e. until about 1986) - the US version and the UK version. Two tracks differ.
Originally compiled and prepared in late 1971 RCA New York allocated matrix numbers for the two sides - APRS-6814 & APRS 6815, and used these 1971 numbers on release even though three new tracks were recorded in 1972 and eventually four different tracks from the 1971 master tape were included.
(The removed tracks - Round and Round, Amsterdam, Holy Holy, and Velvet Goldmine).
The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars (often shortened to Ziggy Stardust) is the fifth studio album by English musician David Bowie, released on 16 June 1972 in the United Kingdom. It was produced by Bowie and Ken Scott and features contributions from the Spiders from Mars, Bowie's backing band — composed of Mick Ronson, Trevor Bolder and Mick Woodmansey. The album was recorded in Trident Studios, London, like his previous album, Hunky Dory. Most of the album was recorded in November 1971 with further sessions in January and early February 1972.
Described as a rock opera and also a loose concept album, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars is about Bowie's titular alter ego Ziggy Stardust, a fictional androgynous bisexual rock star who acts as a messenger for extraterrestrial beings. The character was retained for the subsequent Ziggy Stardust Tour through the United Kingdom, Japan and North America.
