Description

Here is a very rare promo-only edition of Rykodisc's 1990 reissue of David Bowie's landmark album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars.
The set comes in a re-creation of the original album cover with background on the album on the gatefold. Along with the remastered CD, the set includes a vinyl pressing of Ziggy Stardust (on the "RYK" label, made to look like an old RCA label. The set also includes the press releases and promotional photo that were distributed with promo copies.
The CD is in VG condition and plays fine. A couple of light scratches don't affect play. Some of the silk-screening on the label (non-playing side) has flaked off over the years. The vinyl is NM, but please note: It was mastered from an RCA vinyl copy of Ziggy to illustrate the sonic differences between the old LP and the new CD. Therefore, the vinyl has clicks, pops and surface noise that was included deliberately. The cover is VG with moderate shelf wear.
