Description
I play all my records from beginning to end prior to auction on my Garrard 401 record player using a Shure V15 cartridge. This is set very lightly so any imperfections in a record will be heard.
Here I have a copy of the 'David Bowie' 1972 release 'Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders from Mars'.
The record is a UK first stereo pressing on the orange RCA Victor labels. With the Titanic writing credits and a ' GEM production ' on the rear of the cover and no Mainman is mentioned.
Cat no : SF 8287 The matrix BGBS 0864 - 1E BGBS 0865 - 1E
Grading :
I've played both sides of the record and it grades as EX. Under my light there is virtual no sign of play just a couple of small marks either side. The vinyl is very glossy. The record plays with very little surface noise and the sound is fantastic. Amazing condition considering how brilliant this album is. It's had very few plays.
The matt gatefold cover matches the vinyl and is an easy EX grade. Looks almost new with no obvious flaws to report. The spine is lovely a square with pinched ends and fully legible spine text .
Also comes with the all important lyric sheet which has no splits, just the odd crease and just a couple of pieces of yellowed 1970's sellotape on the top left and right to lend some support.
