Description
A signed copy of the famous The Record Mirror Special: The David Bowie Story, which is one of the most difficult Bowie magazines to obtain nowadays.

Published in late 1972 this A3-sized magazine contains 28 pages of commentary illustrated with numerous large Ziggy photographs of David's career (focussing mainly on the Ziggy character) and includes a stunning full colour A2 centrefold.
A wonderful piece of memorabilia from the Seventies, signed in 1973 whilst on the final UK leg of the Ziggy tour in the UK "For Steve, with my thanx Bowie", and (undedicated) by Mick Ronson, Mick Woodmansey, Trevor Bolder and Mike Garson who has added a musical "score" underneath his name. There is another signature that I cannot decipher - it maybe one of the dressers or additional musicians. The signatures are clear and have not faded.
The only negative is that (prior to me purchasing it in 1998 from the owner, Steve) the magazine had been kept folded in A4 size in a box for 20 odd years and has slightly perished on the front cover as shown - the fold is visible on the front cover and obviously throughout the magazine. Page 5 has a mottled effect/discolouration on the black and white picture down the left hand side of the page. The magazine is indicative of a 35 year old publication.
