Up for auction is an original 1971 Presswell Records test pressing / DJ copy of David Crosby - If I Could Only Remember My Name. Atlantic Records release SD 7203. This album was given to me by a DJ friend in the mid-1970s. I have never played the album. I kept it as a collector's item. The plain white album cover has the original photocopied typed label copy taped to the front. It also has the original hand written notes/highlights for songs. This album release went to #12 on the Billboard Top Pop Album Charts in 1971 and in 2010 was listed as #2 on the Vatican's "Top Pop Albums of All Time". I'm not a professional record collector / seller so will give a simple description based on my amateur observations. Overall vinyl itself appears to be in good condition with little wear. However, there are two very noticeable scratches. The first one I would describe as a physical scratch in that if you touched it (I didn't) you would likely feel it with your finger. This scratch if perpendicular to the record groves and spans 3/4 of track 1 on side 1. The second scratch which is visible may also cause popping and spans approximately 1/4 of track 1 on side 2 (also perpendicular to the record grooves). The actual record labels are hand written. The artist's name is written on the back of the album cover and it appears it is also written on the front jacket cover underneath the label copy (partially exposed in the upper right). There are also two strands of tape on the back and bottom spines. This appears to be re-enforcing tape as the spines do not appear to be split at all.
