Description

Dead Kennedys - A Skateboard Party - Vinyl LP 1983 - LIVE, RARE GERMAN IMPORT!
Condition is Used. Ships vis USPS Media Mail.
Dead Kennedys recorded live September 13, 1982 in Germany. The band is in the zone and Jello Biafra is pure Jello on this one. One owner and played only a few times back in the day. Nevertheless, there's a mark midway through Side Two that causes a light click for 4 or 5 revs. 1 or 2 light pops on the other side, as well. Overall, plays great and quite the time-capsule. A must-own for DK fans. Jacket is still in original cellophane. Definitely well-preserved. Small chunk of shrink on back is missing. See all the pics. Vinyl is resting cozily in a new MoFi poly. And even though the sleeve has shrink, it's also in a protective poly outer. This is the copy you want to own! Free USPS insurance on this item. Starving Missile ST 102.
A little story for ya. It's Fall of 1982. Young Greg (aka Elvis Cool J) is living in San Francisco. One day, at a record store somewhere South of Mission, Greg bumps into Jello Biafra. Greg is a huge DK fan and immediately says something to the effect of, "Hey, what you guys been up to?" Jello says approximately, "Well, we just got back from a tour of Germany." (That's THIS recording he's basically talking about.) Greg snarkily blurts out, "Oh, some big Rock Star tour??" Jello says: "NO!!" And he walks away kind of annoyed. It's punk rock, after all. In those days, anything "Rock Star" was generally mocked and frowned upon. Moral of the story: when you meet one of your heroes, try not to be an A$$.
Anyway, buy this record :)

SELLER TERMS:
GREG VALENTINE AS 'ELVIS COOL J.' Former radio DJ, longtime record/music collector, and active seller here and elsewhere (see "GregValentine" on Discogs for Seller Feedback and Rating). Bringing a handful of my listings to eBay. These are select items from my personal collection. Currently only selling and shipping to folks within the United States. Buyer pays for shipping.

SHIPPING: All shipping is by USPS Media Mail, generally within 24 hours of purchase (weekends excepted). As a frequent buyer, I ship the way I like packages to arrive. Your items will be packed carefully and securely with protective cardboard fillers (and additional bubble wrap, when appropriate). In some cases, I may reuse sturdy packaging to help save trees. All albums ship outside the jacket in brand new MoFi polys with jacket and poly-sleeved vinyl inside a protective poly outer. All 45s are shipped similarly, just different brand polys. And naturally, CDs are shipped with the same care. Tracking info is always provided to you once items are shipped.

LISTING ACCURACY: Like you, I buy a lot of stuff on eBay and other sites. So, it’s crucial to me that an item is correctly listed. All my items have been carefully and exactingly listed. That means you're seeing all the correct info about the pressing, such as year, first press or reissue, and most times, what pressing plant. I also make a point to note when it’s unclear what pressing a sealed item is. That said, I welcome any question you have about any item. I’ve been known to ask a few myself when I’m buying.

RETURNS: Buyer is responsible for cost of shipping in the unlikely event an item needs to be returned (unless there's been a crucial error in the listing or description). If there’s any issue with your order, it can almost certainly be resolved satisfactorily. Simply let me know right away.
