Description
You’ll be going a long way and waiting a long time to find a better copy of THE best British Rock n Roll album ever!
This is “The Sound of Fury” by Billy Fury and The Four Jays – issued by Decca LF 1329.
This has come directly from the original owner who kept this is a traditional album case away from sunlight and greasy fingers until I acquired it a few years ago. When I first looked at the record and marvelled at the pure white rear sleeve and crisp edges, I had goose-bumps up my arm as I gently pulled the record out of the inner sleeve……….and it wasn’t due to static!
This is a truly amazing copy of this legendary Bill Fury release. The sleeve is as close to brand new as you could wish for. There is the merest hint of laminate lift along the opening edge. The rear of the sleeve is pure white and hopefully you can see the contrast with the slight creamy flipbacks. If you are familiar with this release you will know just how fragile this sleeve is – this one is as good as you will ever, ever see.
The inner sleeve is clean and crisp – as you would expect.
The record labels show literally a spindle mark per side – a pretty good indication that this record has led a very sheltered life! As this record was part of a 26,000 collection you can probably work out that it is unlikely this record was every played a great deal in its life. The playing surfaces are clean, shine like new and are unmarked - no surprises there!
The new owner can rest assured that this is most likely the best, most original copy of this album left. This kind of opportunity doesn’t come up very often so this is your chance to acquire a landmark release by the greatest British
rock ‘n’ roll star of the 1950’s.
