Description
December’s Children, Ltd. - Signed, D.C. b/w So Long Ago - Extreme garage rarity from DC / VA on Domestic Sound Records - Beautiful condition, see high res photos and listen to a clip from the A-side here: https://youtu.be/fcN9oCimNts . Looks almost new, no writing on label whatsoever, no meaningful signs of wear.
I’m originally from the DC area, and have driven by the location where Domestic Sound Records was located about a zillion times (it’s a bank now). I seem to recall buying this disc as part of a huge lot being sold by a couple of aging party DJs in a trailer park in Maryland. I love imagining that somebody affiliated with the band pushed it on them in 1967 as a dance-friendly 45. The A-side is a smoldering, sullen cover of the Arthur Lee / Love track, and has been featured on at least one garage comp that I’m aware of (“Sixties Rebellion / Signed DC”). These don’t come up for auction very often, and certainly not in this condition.
Ships in a poly-lined single sleeve, packed securely and correctly in a cardboard mailer commercially manufactured for the purpose.
