My father was a radio and club DJ in the 50s and 60s and 70s. I have had 3 boxes of his 45s sitting around forever and now its time to move them on to people that collect and appreciate them. I will be listing some every week until they are all gone starting with the 45 RPM records. I will also be listing some 70 and 80s 12" records from my years as a DJ in later months. There are many promo records included in the collection and some hard to find Doo Wop, Northern Soul, Motown and Disco. I watched my father and he took great care with his records as did I. I will note condition as best I can.


Ive adopted the following grading guidelines based loosely on the nice ebay folks from over at funkyou! to give you an idea of condition outside of the pictures I provide. Please understand that I am not a professional grader but I want to give my buyers as much info as I can. I will do my best but please understand that this is just my opinion and your may vary. If you have any questions at all please do not hesitate to ask and corrections by experts are ALWAYS welcome.
  • NM (Near Mint):  Highest grade. Like new, most likely unplayed.
  • VG++:   A few visual imperfections that will not affect the sound. Likely played a few times or possibly never. 
  • VG+:   A few more surface marks than a VG++. Has probably been played before but well taken care of and should play with very few audible imperfections.
  • VG:   The record will display light surface scuffs and marks. Expect some light surface noise in parts or a few clicks or pops here and there. A VG record will play with very minimal noise and will still be quite enjoyable. 
  • VG-:   The record may have some deeper audible scratches but will play without skipping.
  • G:   The record will have heavy wear, deep scratches and very apparent surface noise, clicks or pops.
  • Poor:   Records with this grade should be considered unplayable.
