Deena Webster - Tuesday's Child
(Parlophone PMC 7052 UK LP 1968)
This is a UK original Mono LP pressing. This is a very rare late 1960's UK Female Folk LP. However, there are some issues with this copy. Please see below for more details.
It has a heavyweight front laminated flipback sleeve. It comes with its original company paper inner sleeve. This advertises other LP's available at the time. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has black & yellow "Parlophone" labels. These have "The Gramophone Co..." and "Sold in the UK..." texts. It has the "KT" tax code embossed around the spindle hole on Side 1. The record has 1st press -1/ -1 matrix stampers.
As stated, this is a very rare late 1960's UK Female Folk LP. It seldom turns up. I have some other rare & collectable 1960's & 1970's 7" Singles & LP's for sale. So please see my other listings.
Sleeve: Unfortunately, this sleeve has suffered some water damage at some point. The sleeve has long since dried out. However, it has caused some moderate to more considerable rippling to the sleeve (see photos). This is most noticeable at the sleeve opening area. There is a mild 9 cm crease at the top corner tip area at the spine. This goes through the sleeve to a varying degree. It is more noticeable on the front. This has caused some mild laminate lifting on the front sleeve in that area. There is a 1 cm area of more moderate rubbing wear on the bottom edge at the sleeve opening. This includes the corner tip in that area. There is light or very mild rubbing wear to the other three corner tips. There is some light, mild or very mild rubbing wear on the bottom edge on a few areas. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear on some areas. Overall, Good condition
Vinyl: Unfortunately, there is a mild to more moderate warp. However, it does not seem to affect playback. It is more noticeable when playing Side 1 when compared with Side 2. This, however, could be carefully rectified by someone with the right expertise. Apart from the warp, the vinyl is quite nice & clean.
There is a very light 7 cm hairline surface rub mark on Side 1. This is not that noticeable under a strong light. There is a light 1 cm hairline surface mark on Side 2. There are a few light, mild, very mild or very minor surface sleeve rubs which can hardly be seen under a strong light. The inner sleeve, over time, has left some light, mild, very mild or very minor dull surface marks on some areas. These can only be seen under a strong light. There is a mild wispy surface rub mark on Side 1. This is not that noticeable under a strong light. The vinyl looks in Very Good+ condition. But because of the warp, overall, Good condition. The labels are in Excellent+ condition & show minimal spindle wear only. The company paper inner sleeve is in Very Good condition. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear, fading & creasing. There is a small 3 cm seam split at the centre of one side only.
I have fully play tested this LP. It plays Very Good+ to Near Excellent overall, & even Excellent in some places. There is some light, mild, very mild or very minor crackle in some quieter places. There are a couple of light clicks on one track on Side 1. Overall, a very reasonable audio copy.
