Description

This very hard to find album was released on Deram SML 1005 in 1967 and features many of the cream of the British jazz scene at the time. It is highly collectable.

The line-up is Kenny Wheeler (trumpet), Harold Beckett (trumpet), Mike Gibbs (trombone), Dave Aaron (alto sax), Karl Jenkins (Baritone Sax), Graham Collier (bass), and John Marshall (drums).

It was recorded in London in January 1967.

The record has no visible marks, plays wonderfully, and I would grade it as excellent. (All my records are played on a Project Debut turntable).

As the photos clearly show, the front of the cover has retained the beautiful vibrancy of its original colours, while the back has marked slightly over the last 40 years. I would therefore grade it as Excellent -.

This record is extremely collectable and should form a key part of any serious collector of British modern jazz.

Happy bidding. Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any queries.

My records are graded in accordance with Record Collector's Grading System as follows: MINT(M)The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any other items are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc + or - indicates a grading in between categories
