Description
I specialize in lost, atmospheric, and hypnotic 45s. Grading is done conservatively, visually. Check unaltered sound clips. I currently have a number of cool soul, popcorn, Latin, rockabilly, garage, R&B, country, surf, blues, funk, psychedelic, sunshine pop, mod, lounge, exotica, heavy rock, gospel, swamp pop, Tejano, townie rock, song poem, punk, and oddball instrumental 45 obscurities up for grabs. In addition to a small batch of Greek 45s, I've also listed some really fantastic and scarce garage band 45s from Texas this week.
ARTIST: Blue
TITLE: Purple Glasses / Two Legged Galleon
LABEL: Sunrise
CONDITION: Strong VG- (Tough one to grade. Lovely gloss free of all but the faintest scratches, but there's a gnarly-looking heat mark across the surface of "Two Legged Galleon." If it sounds it's barely audible - check audio. )
Deeply melodic jangle rock steeped in the Beatles and sitting on threshold of the chiming, impeccably American pop of groups like Big Star and Flamin' Groovies. It could be me but I hear Kinks influence on flip "Two Legged Galleon." Based on the SCM number I'd guess '72. A really great, really obscure 45.
