DESCRIPTION: Deep Purple LP- Machine Head. 1st UK pressing with matrices ending A1U/B1U, The Gramophone and made in great britain text. Gatefold sleeve laminated front and back. Lyric insert and correct white poly lined inner. LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: Purple TPSA 7504 YEAR OF RELEASE: 1972 COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): VG+/VG+. Vinyl is very clean with a dark sheen and only one thin light hairline preventing me from grading EX . Played lengthy passages of this today at a neighbour upsetting volume on my Pro-ject Deck. Sits perfectly flat on the turntable. Sounds Excellent, has the faintest touch of very light surface sound on the intro to "Lazy" and has a soft repetetive tick on the intro to smoke on the water - about 1 minutes worth. Otherwise this is clear and loud with great depth and seperation throughout. I did not notice any other background sound even between the tracks. Cover is firm and square and has only light edgewear, light cornerwear and light creasing Inside of gatefold is very, very clean with sharp, clean photos. Insert is EX with only very light wear. It hardly looks like its been out of the cover and has never been hung on a wall for sure. Very clean labels. No writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears. Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading System but please note that GRADINGS ARE VISUAL ONLY UNLESS STATED. You are likely to get some background noise , even if its just between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. I REMOVE ALL VINYL FROM SLEEVES (INCLUDING SIGNIFICANT INNERS) PRIOR TO POSTING. RECORDS ARE SENT IN BEST QUALITY MAILERS WITH 2 STIFFENERS.
